Where to Buy the Book

You can find Cross Country Cryptids through a wide network of independent bookstores, as well as major retailers like Bookshop.org, Barnes & Noble, Walmart, and Amazon.

My goal is to keep this list as accurate as possible, but please check your local stores just in case (if you find them in the wild, let me know and I'll add them below!)

Independent bookstores are a special part of the reading community, and many are happy to order the book for you if they don’t already have it in stock. I encourage you to check with your local indie shop—even if you don’t see them listed here!

*Note: You'll probably see lots of different availability dates at different sites. I know. It's confusing and annoying. I mean, all we want is to plan our entire existence around cryptid road trips for the foreseeable future, and who can plan when the start dates are all different?  But fret not cryptid road warriors, for I have been assured by the good people at McFarland that those dates are all somewhat arbitrary while we're in the pre-order phase because everyone's database needs work differently to keep the book active in their pre-order systems.
